I'm running 2.1.130 with the patches from knfsd-981113. It seems not to be possible to gracefully exit the kernel nfsd. When I kill the nfsd processes, they leave a UDP socket on port 2049 which I can't get rid of, so the next invocation of nfsd will fail.
Also, the kernel mountd does not unregister with portmap (but at least that can be done manually).
