sync has been segfaulting on me... but only after quota checking has been on for a while(a half hour, perhaps less). turning quota support off and then back on fixes the problem, but I shouldn't need to do that I think. And I'm prety sure the problem is in the kernel somewhere, since Alt-SysRq-s dies as well.... Says it can't convert a null pointer. If someone needs it, I'll post the screen full of debug info...
