In article <Pine.SGI.4.02.9812020249310.14855-100000@tiger.coe.missouri. edu>, Tymm Twillman <tymm@coe.missouri.edu> writes >Well, looking over the specs, these are apparently basically their 16xx >DSP's on a board with a line interface (and they sell the 16xx development >kits for big bux), so I think the most we can hope for is a block of code >to dump to the modem and (hopefully) info on how that code talks to the >PC... so much for a GPL'd driver...
Well, we could write our own DSP16xx demodulate/modulate code[1]. It's the sort of thing I used to consider fun. But it's been a while since a played with (seriously) DSPs, and I was using much simpler modulation schemes in terms of coding at least. I'm also trying to help the linux-7110 effort so, umm, free time is a little limited.
OTOH, I've been looking for some h/w like this for a while.. I might have a "use" for it. Can anyone confirm the details?
TTFN.
