The PERC is actually an AMI MegaRAID:
The Perc/Perc2 (2 channel) is the MegaRAID Series 428 or 434 card, the Perc2/SC (single channel) is the MegaRAID Series 466.
Kernel 2.0.36 comes with the MegaRAID driver. (As does RH 5.2 I believe)
A driver for 2.1 (and 2.0) kernels can be found at ftp://ftp.megatrends.com/MegaRaid/Drivers/Linux/
I haven't got around to trying this RAID controller yet, but will be doing so in the next month or so.
