Proven to be a disaster for OS's. "Service professionals" should not design software. A whole lot of what makes Linux so good is Linus saying "no". And a whole lot of what makes open software work is development being able to tell marketing to write the code themselves if they are so technically saavy.

If the system works well and people use it, Oracle or someone will have good databases on it.
