Look at the linux/drivers/net/syncppp.c and syncppp.h. This
implements the synchronous PPP and Cisco HDLC layers for Linux.
Routines from this file are used by the Hostess SV11 driver and
the COSA driver (currently in Alan's -ac kernels, see also
http://www.fi.muni.cz/~kas/cosa).
