While using 2.0.35 and 2.0.36 (RedHat 5.1 and 5.2 respectively) I get a bazillion CRC errors while copying from the floppy to the hard drive. The floppy is in MS dos format and written to under NT 4.0.
This happens on two different machines and with brand new floppies. I can do a cpio from different floppies and that works.
Any suggestions? I cleaned both drives and the floppies work just find under NT.
The CRC errors are on both heads and the machines have no floppy problems under NT (dual boot). Any known issues with the kernel and floppies?
