That, of course, will change when someone donates one of
those old 8-CPU [34]86 SMP machines from Compaq or Sequent
to one of the scheduler hackers :)) <hint, hint>

It's happened already... ahem... what did I say... silly me

Actually I personally have been playing with 8-cpu Ex000 UltraSparc
servers as of late. I hope to get one on a more permanent basis in
the near future (currently I play with them in one of Sun's labs).
