Thanks for the reply, that doesn't do the trick, xtab is rm'd at shutdown,
after the following, xtab remains empty. I've found out since that ps fax gives
the following, so the segfault is probably to do with starting a second
rpc.kmountd ..

The real problem seems to be the ......

returned from... mount -o rsize=8192,wsize=8192,udp bumble:/ /mntb &

[barrabas:/var/lib/nfs]# touch xtab
