I'd have to double check next time I shutdown, but I am getting exactly the same error when I shutdown. I noticed that the protection fault appears to be at F000 which corresponds to where the APM Bios is detected. I also have the TMC TI5VG+ with MVP3, and an AMD K6-2, running linux kernel version 2.0.36.
