i'm happy to report that 129 works well on:
PPro/200, 64M, isaPnP sb, aic7xxx, eepro100, egcs-2.91.57.
i even watched ESB from my 12x plexdor. however there is a
small complaint from RPC:

portmap: RPC call returned error 111
RPC: task of released request still queued!

I think this is a redhat initscripts bug rather than a kernel problem. I got
the same messages when I put in some remote filesystems in /etc/fstab. the
problem is that it tries to mount them before starting portmap. the fix is
cd /etc/rc.d/rc3.d
mv S40portmap S11portmap
Redhat 5.2 has fixed this.
