hello,
There is this mega problem which is unique in the sense that i never seen such a thing in my 2 years of working with linux.
REdhat 5 Intel Celeron 266 MHz
I can't boot from the bootable redhat5 CD. Computer gets rebooted just after loading the kernel. I tried various tricks, booting from image (rawrite) on a floppy disk, from autoboot using loadlin , all get failed --- same error.
At last i got a way, i installed WIN95(though i was not interested, but) and when i : rebooted in the computer in DOS mode from start menu of Win95- i was able to use loadlin to boot my kernel. I was happy
I installed full kernel.. installed lilo... reboot.... lilo: linux
..
kernel gets loaded and !!! same it's get rebooted ... i can't go to my linux.
I have now going to linux, by first booting in Win95, restarting it in DOS mode and then using loadlin.....it's not the way i like .... Any clarification will be helpful....
sachin ------------ I am not the linux list, please cc to fd95007@bits-pilani.ac.in also.
