Doesn't compile:
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-AC/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2
-fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -s -fno-exceptions -pipe -s
-fomit-frame-pointer -mk6 -march=k6 -DCPU=686 -c -o sysctl.o sysctl.c
sysctl.c:208: `KERN_RTSIGNR' undeclared here (not in a function)
sysctl.c:208: initializer element for `kern_table[9].ctl_name' is not
constant
sysctl.c:210: `KERN_RTSIGMAX' undeclared here (not in a function)
sysctl.c:210: initializer element for `kern_table[10].ctl_name' is not
constant
make[2]: *** [sysctl.o] Error 1

Looks like a part of a RT patch was applied, but not all of it... Here's a
temporary fix:
--- kernel/sysctl.c~ Fri Nov 13 19:41:49 1998
+++ kernel/sysctl.c Fri Nov 13 19:51:31 1998

{KERN_ACCT, "acct", &acct_parm, 3*sizeof(int),
0644, NULL, &proc_dointvec},
#endif
+#if 0
{KERN_RTSIGNR, "rtsig-nr", &nr_queued_signals, sizeof(int),
0444, NULL, &proc_dointvec},
{KERN_RTSIGMAX, "rtsig-max", &max_queued_signals, sizeof(int),
0644, NULL, &proc_dointvec},
+#endif

};

After that, it works well, both with current EGCS and older versions.
