SubjectWin98 + Linux 2.1.x don't like each other.
I've had this problem ever since I've upgraded to the 2.1.x series, it
did not exist with 2.0.35. I am currently using 2.1.124. Every time I
try to boot to win98 after being in linux win98 will fail to recognize
the second ide controller until it gets booted off a win98 startup disk
and then rebooted. Conversely, often (but not always) after being in
Win98 and booting back to linux i get messages like this

ide0: UNABLE TO GET IRQ -11
ide1: UNABLE TO GET IRQ -11

Sometimes both occur sometimes only 1 or the other, since my root
filesystem is on ide0, it obviously fails shortly after if ide0 gets
that message. One reboot or sometimes several fixes the Linux problem. I
was unsure of what data if any i need to post to help diagnose this
problem... So any ideas?
