It might actually be enough to have a patches 'portal site', where there are: - links to the developers' sites - web forms so the developers can update the description next to their name -- this in order to inform users of what is on their page - a simple search engine that can be used to search the developers' pages for a certain keyword - a page with the latest news about the kernel, the patches and what's happening with Linux development.
Considering the amount of traffic such a site might generate, it could actually be worth it to update and keep such a site for-profit (or at least to get a bit extra pocket money :)
