The paging parameters in Linux min_free_pages, free_pages_low, free_pages_high etc. are hardcoded in the kernel, using some formula. Will it not be a good idea to make these parameters as tunable parameters (like in Solaris, Sequent etc.), so that the system adminstrator can better tune these parameters according to his requirements and m/c configuration.
