Shaper=Y should work fine nowdays. Let me know if it doesnt

I am - the current RPM/SRPM of it is in the Red Hat rawhide tree. If you want to maintain a debian or slackware copy go ahead - the srpm is the master nowdays simply because its the easiest way to maintain it.
