hi, on boot kernel panic : no init found.. Try passinig init= option to kernel . thats the error
booting: freeing unused kernel memoruy : 36k freed VFS: mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly. Kernel panic : no init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.
I'm running debian 2.0. kernel is compiled with Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/2.7.2.3/specs gcc version 2.7.2.3 The kernel source are from debian unstable (very first 2.1.125 CVS Aug 28) unpached All packages are form debian 2.0 (www.debian.org) insmod is 2.1.121 libc5 is 5.4.38 libc6 is 2.0.07 deb unstable libc6_2.0.7u-4.deb libc6 dev libc6-dev_2.0.7u-4.deb ld is GNU ld version 2.9.1 (with BFD 2.9.1.0.15) ldd is ldd: version 1.9.9 Linux c++ LIB is 2.7.2.8 This is procinfo version 14 (1998-05-24) pstree from psmisc version 17 mount: mount-2.7l net-tools : hostname 2.01 Sh-utils : basename (GNU sh-utils) 1.16 Autofs : Linux automount version 0.3.14 Ncpfs : Universal NFS Server 2.2beta34 GNU bash, version 2.01.1(1)-release (i486-pc-linux-gnu)
init in /etc /bin /sbin : same error tried init=/sbin/init and init=/bin/sh option to kernel (append="init=...") in lilo.conf : same error on all mount partitions /bin/sh static : same error
kernel compilled with gcc 2.7.2.3 -02 no SMP INTEL 586 no MMX board gigabite 568 intel FX chipset (very old )
