It did indeed fix the problem. lspci now looks the same before and after starting X. My question is, is there a similar method I can use in 2.0.x. I tried pci=conf1 on it, but it didn't seem to have any effect. Any suggestions. Or am I stuck with the developmental kernel series on a production machine until 2.2 hits the streets?
Thanks.
