SubjectRe: 2.1.125/5.1 breaks aic7xxx support
I have the same problem with my Adaptec AIC-7880 Ultra SCSI host adapter 
and 2 FUJITSU-MAB3045SP hard disks.
I read README-AIC7xxx and I played a whole day with aic7xxx=pci_parity,
override_term, etc etc, but without any effect.
If you want some logs, mail me (I have a lot).
