SubjectHardware Patent Question
DateSun, 11 Oct 1998 20:04:53 PDT
I want to write a driver for a Xircom Pe3. The PE3 uses two chips, a
fujitsu (who datasheat is available at the web site) and a Xircom
Proprietary one. The Xircom chip is describe in detail in a US Patent.

Can I use the US patent as source of information of a GNU device driver?

Thanks for your guidance and time.
