And there are folks running high traffic high I/O SMP servers. Reliably too. This includes giant news servers and big web machines

The other problem is the "CPU deadlock" message is generic. Its one CPU realising the other seems to have gotten stuck. Every single 2.0.x case that causes a hang will probably cause that message SMP
