SubjectRe: changes in plip.c 2.2 to 2.3

I set all arguments myself when using route. I explicitly set teh netmask
to 24 bits and *that* is why I notice dthat the netmnask on teh device
(from ifconfig) was showing a 32bit netmask.

I studied the plipc source through and noticed that it really would have
nothing to do with deriving a nm.
