Naming is arbitrary. I don't really care how you call things. However when communicating with others it sometimes helps to take on the nomenclature that they are used to. Richard, in this case, it might help to publicly call "prefetch queue" what you yourself think of as "instruction cache".
(To be perfectly honest: Instruction cache, and prefetch queue are, in my nomenclature, different things (although similar), and you're talking about the prefetch queue.)
