SubjectRE: umsdos/uvfat
Why umsdos? We get long filenames and an extra timestamp for free
with vfat. The whole system can be cleaned up. The buggy hard
link support can go -- this isn't our POSIX filesystem.

1. Mount old umsdos filesystem as vfat.
2. Run user-space conversion tool.
3. Unmount.
4. Mount as new uvfat filesystem.
