2.1.77 is working really well for me. I had some problems with UDP packets not being received over the PPP interface in 2.1.76 which made it impossible for me to use that kernel. With 2.1.75 things mostly worked but I had big problems doing file transfers to a machine over a bad modem link (I think that the variation in delays between the packets triggered some kernel bug which resulted in lots of sockets stuck in TIME_WAIT or FIN_WAIT states and no data being transferred). This problem seems to be gone in 2.1.77 (I'm doing a large FTP now and getting a reliable 2700CPS - which is the best that a 2400bps modem link can handle). I'm reporting this as I couldn't find any significant networking changes in 2.1.77 and nothing in 2.1.76 that could account for what I'm seeing. I figure that if you knowingly fix a bug then you don't need to know, but if you fix some bad code which just happens to fix some seemingly unrelated problem then you may want to know about it.
