I am trying to compile in the Ingo Molnar IRQ Deadlock patch. Kernel is vanilla 2.0.33, the patch succeeded 100%:
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -pg -fno-omit-frame-pointer -O2 -D__SMP__ -pipe -m486 -malign-loops=2 -malign-jumps=2 -malign-functions=2 -DCPU=586 -D__SMP__ -c -o resource.o resource.c gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -pg -fno-omit-frame-pointer -O2 -D__SMP__ -pipe -m486 -malign-loops=2 -malign-jumps=2 -malign-functions=2 -DCPU=586 -D__SMP__ -c -o sysctl.o sysctl.c make[2]: *** No rule to make target `profiler.c', needed by `profiler.o'. Stop. make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux/kernel' make[1]: *** [first_rule] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux/kernel' make: *** [linuxsubdirs] Error 2 news:/usr/src/linux#
Does anyone have any idea's what this could be? Appreciate any help, I am trying to trackdown the source of our IRQ DEADLOCK errors when running Linux/SMP.
