SubjectRe: 2.1.76: weird behavior of "ln -sf dir link"
In article <m24t33o20g.fsf$vvv.vrn.ru@lists.netg.se> you write:

>I've found a weird behavior of creating a symbolic links to
>directories. If the link to directory already exists, then "ln -sf"
>will not be able to change the link:

It's not the kernel, it's GNU ln that has this rather odd (IMHO)
behaviour. Try "ln -nsf" instead and watch it work as you expect. (-n
tells ln not to dereference links in the target).
