SubjectPCI sound cards? linux support?
Does Linux (oss?) support PCI sound cards? A friend of mine claims he has
a gateway <*shudder*> computer with a PCI sound card that won't work under
linux, so i got curious and did a little grepping on my 2.1.75 source tree
and didn't seem to find anything that would indicate that it does (except
an #include <linux/pci.h> in os.h)...i've also never heard of such a
device, but i guess someday they'll be common...

is there any support for these cards? planned? and pointers or docs would
be helpful..
