Hi all,
Ok I hope this is the right list for this. If anyone would know the answer to this question, it'd be here. Ok I am sorta a linux programming newbie but have experience with dos. I wish to be able to access ports directly in Linux like the comports, paralel ports, soundcard, etc. In dos assembly, you would just use: mov al,xxh ; xx = a number out al, portnum ; portnum = the hardware port to write to.
Is this even possible using Linux.
