Hi,
I've had an idea for quite some time, and I wanted to know if it's realistic, or if it's a major rewrite of the code. What I want to do is change IP forwarding's behavior. Acting as a firewall/gateway machine, I want it to be able to buffer incoming/outgoing packets on pre-designated ports, using dynamic priorities, e.g. I want SMTP packets (port 25) to be delt with in a higher priority over HTTP (80) packets. Priorities have to be dynamic enough to accomodate network traffic according to workload on each incoming/outgoing port.
Ideas/thoughts/comments?
TIA, Shachar.
