From what I gather, making a kernel for another platform is just: make ARCH=<platform> menuconfig [for <platform>=alpha, i386, m68k, mips, ppc, sparc, sparc64]
Is that correct? (gee - that solves part of my work on documenting kernel compilation <sigh - wish I had more time :>)
Oh, and incidentally are there any other platform-specific defines? [eg. i386 has __SMP__]
Perhaps could SMP be done this way if we really CAN'T (I can't see why not) do config? [and a Makefile.SMP that sets it automagically?]
