i am using mtx from Leonard Zbukoff on a HP12000e quite happily. There is also a kerne module to support all kind of scsi changers. It worked well for me too but is more suited to some huge CD-ROM Farm or so. See ftp://ftp.dandelion.com/mtx-1.0.tar.gz
