Hi all. This isn't an oops, but an interesting problem. I had nfs mounted my server from my laptop. My server is an all-scsi system, with a 2940 for my hard disks, and a 1510 for my jaz. aha152x.o had been loaded manually.
Upon doing an ls in the jaz directory from the laptop, I received the following information to the console, and in messages:
kernel: Device not ready. Make sure there is a disc in kernel: VFS: Mounted device 08:21 - tssk, tssk kernel: VFS: inode busy on removed device 08:21 last message repeated 2 times kernel: Device busy for revalidation (usage=1) kernel: scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:21, sector 1038 kernel: EXT2-fs error (device 08:21): ext2_readdir: directory #2 contains a hole at offset 0 kernel: scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:21, sector 16 kernel: Kernel panic: EXT2-fs panic (device 08:21): ext2_write_inode: unable to read i-node block - inode=2, block=8 kernel: kernel: scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:21, sector 2
Subsequent attempts at doing an ls in that directory result in it not returning. The machine has been up for three days, with little or no activity. Any ideas on what to do next?
Thanks, Dave Wreski
