a while ago i wrote a little daemon to watch for spawnconsole... it would
then open a new VC with a menu of programs and let the user select one.
If the user didn't select one within 10sec the console would vanish
returning the user to the original VC. It worked fairly nicely, though i
stopped working on it as i got a new monitor and was able to use X
effectively :) ... i'd be happy to mail my source (assuming i can still
find it) to anyone interested in persuing it further.
