Never had this happen to me before in 2.x but it looks something like this.
top shows:
72 processes: 71 sleeping, 1 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped CPU states: 1.1% user, 1.3% system, 2.1% nice, 97.8% idle Mem: 61K av, 0K used, 0K free, 0K shrd, 0K buff Swap: 1K av, 0K used, 0K free 0K cached
cat /proc/meminfo however shows the right numbers
MemTotal: 63112 kB MemFree: 920 kB MemShared: 8268 kB Buffers: 100 kB Cached: 4072 kB SwapTotal: 128484 kB SwapFree: 100464 kB
uptime isn't that long...
12:03pm up 1 day, 16 min, 8 users, load average: 0.43, 0.26, 0.22
I have two other hosts smp p133 and smp p100 that I have not seen the same condition. The machine that this is on is a pentium pro-180 (uniprocessor). I have included .config at the bottom. smp=1 was commented out when I compiled.
I don't seem this as a problem per-see (it may in fact be a unique event) but I thought it was certainly interesting.
