Ahem, that was me. I was asked to program a driver for a ROM ISA-card that
was intended for a diskless machine. The driver (for Linux-1.2.6)
was working nice, and I could boot Linux from the card, but (for reasons I
don't know) the product later missed to reach the 'market' and I did no
further work on it.

... And yes, I was the one who registered the device number.
