Yes, let's stop kidding ourselves. If the new dcache code can't treat anonymous pipes as they are defined (ie, *anonymously*) it's a bug and should be fixed. It's laughable to call such an undesirable side-effect a "feature" just because it lets you do interesting things to wreck havoc on the processes that use these pipes. :)
(One workaround: Create an entry in the dcache for a directory that doesn't exist, and hide all your anonymous pipe "entries" in there... ?)
