    Subjectshared memory conundrum
    Date
I patched my 2.0.25 kernel with the IPC patches ("dipc") for
intercommunication amongst several machines and it works ...

... but loadlin (1.6) won't load the new kernel. It gives a "Less
than 4M memory" error. Lilo (2.0) loads it fine. I don't get it. How
can loadlin be affected in this way?

If someone has some ideas, I would appreciate their input! I would like
to track down the bug, if it is such. I have studied setup.S in the
    arch/i386/boot directory, but no joy.

PS - I believe other shared memory clients fell ill under the patch. xanim
under X 3.3 crashes real fast.

    Thanks
