# echo "1" >/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forwarding
This should turn it on. Note:
# echo 1> /proc/sys/net/ip4/ip_forwarding
Will __NOT__ work! This just redirects a '\n' out the "terminal". Some documentation shows this. It needs quotes or spaces.
