Hi,
Sorry to bother y'all again, but I think I may have run into another feature. This time on a pre-2.0.31 kernel (+ 5 fixes).
Our server runs with quotas and I'm responsible for mirroring stuff on our FTP site. (Europeans - get your kernels at ftp.lmh.ox.ac.uk!)
So, after I've sorted the permissions, I like to chown them (as root) so that they don't chew my quota. Only I did this today, and they did anyway. quotacheck fixed this, but is this a known feature, a deliberate thing or, perchance, a little buglet?
<thinx: Hmm... *two* VFS probs in as many hours... perhaps I should learn how VFS works, and learn to fix 'em>
Cheers anyway, Matthew.
