Hi
I've struck a problem with compiling the latest kernel.
I get the following error
arch/i386/kernel/kernel.o arch/i386/mm/mm.o kernel/kernel.o mm/mm.o fs/fs.o ipc/ipc.o net/network.a \ fs/filesystems.a \ drivers/block/block.a drivers/char/char.a drivers/net/net.a drivers/scsi/scsi.a drivers/cdrom/cdrom.a drivers/pci/pci.a \ /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/lib/lib.a /usr/src/linux/lib/lib.a /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/lib/lib.a \ -o vmlinux drivers/scsi/scsi.a(scsi_n_syms.o): In function `allocate_device': scsi_n_syms.o(.text+0xfc0): undefined reference to `local_irq_count' drivers/scsi/scsi.a(scsi_n_syms.o): In function `internal_cmnd': scsi_n_syms.o(.text+0x134b): undefined reference to `local_irq_count' scsi_n_syms.o(.text+0x137a): undefined reference to `local_irq_count' drivers/scsi/scsi.a(scsi_n_syms.o): In function `scsi_request_sense': scsi_n_syms.o(.text+0x14ab): undefined reference to `local_irq_count' scsi_n_syms.o(.text+0x14da): undefined reference to `local_irq_count' drivers/scsi/scsi.a(scsi_n_syms.o)(.text+0x1643): more undefined references to `local_irq_count' follow make: *** [vmlinux] Error 1
Environment gcc-2.7.2.2 amd486 100 32 meg memory advancsys scsi support compiled into the kernel.
The previous kernel compiled with no problems so I am at a loss as to what has caused this.
Any suggestions apreciated.
Joe.
