SubjectPLIP crash
DateWed, 26 Feb 1997 17:52:39 +0200 (EET)
I seem to have a problem with PLIP:

When I have a LapLink cable between my desktop and notebook computers, and
both are turned on, the connection works fine. If I turn off the notebook,
the desktop computer seems to overwrite memory randomly until it crashes -
this is with kernel 2.0.28. Turning off the desktop computer does not do
anything, nor does anything happen if I don't have insmod:ed the plip
driver, so the crash must be caused by the plip driver.

I can't give you any oops or such, because it is unattainable (the
computer crashes too fast) and the crashes are always different.

I think that the notebook does something weird when it's turned off, maybe
it echoes everything, or.. Any PLIP-driver guru out there?
