Hi there...
Here's the problem I have:
I boot off the disk and it gets to the boot: prompt. Now if I just go with the defaults and hit return it will not find my cd-rom. So I enter the command "mount root=/dev/scd0" and I press enter. Still nothing.
So I went ahead and copied Slakware onto my hard drive so I can install from there. I then went through the same steps. This time I went with the defaults. When I pick the dos partition for the install it tells me that it cannot find it under the mnt directory.
Went back to boot: prompt. This time I issued the command "mount root=/dev/hda1" to mount my hard drive. Well apparently this command stops the login process because it never asks you for the root disk.
So.... HELP!! TIA
Nicko
