It's nice to be an agent of higher powers, but just to put the record straight; PMON was commissioned by LSI Logic and written by Phil Bunce. It was LSI (I think at Phil's suggestion) who decided to make it freely redistributable.

Algorithmics have added support for MIPS-III (64-bit register) CPUs, and made PMON talk over ethernet. You can pick up Algorithmics' R4xxx tarball for PMON at:
