Unfortunately, and very strange, syslog was down since midnight,
and he didn't bother to go up (and we haven't noticed).
But I remember something about a named error. Nothing very
obvious, I'm sorry. Was Friday 13th today? :-(

But as I said, no process looked funny to me, I have
double-checked this. A couple of pine's (this was what we usually do on
that machine), and the usual stuff. Nothing to look like a time-consuming
thing.

I'm still digging.
