SubjectSCSI Death ex post 2.1.55
Date
I guess my mailer was bad and I've been kicked off this group.

I have a Mustek SCSI scanner attached via a generic NCR5380 interface card.
Worked beautifully with all modern kernels until 2.1.57 (I didn't build
2.1.56, but 2.1.55 works perfectly with it).

Since 2.1.57, I get a total, immediate lockup, with nothing written to log
files, the instant I access the driver for the scanner. Nothing doing
anywhere.

I fetched another interface program (SANE), just in case the one I was
using (muscan) might have been flawed, but it does the same thing.

If this message is inappropriate please let me know.

Thanks.
