wrong! DOS happily handles more than one primary DOS partition -- I've been using this setup for many years with various *DOS versions from 5.0 to 6.22 and NovelDOS 7.0 etc.
only the DOS fdisk programm isn't happy about this setup and can't create more than one primary partition -- everything else works great!
