Funny, my FX001D took to mcdx as easily as to mcd, though I think I had
to explicitly tell both I changed the IRQ. I got it when it cost $150,
so earlier models might have problems mine didn't. What kind of "do not
work" did the non-working FX001D's exhibit, do you know?
