With a 2940, if the partition tables are hosed, it will go into an infinite scsi failure when it tries to look at the partition tables. There is no way to even get far enough with root=something-else and fdisk. I had to use one of the 'other' operating systems fdisk to clear the garbage out, then I was able to boot linux from floppy and run fdisk... -Tom | ||||||||||||
